The Overseas Chinese Flagship program provides an articulated overseas capstone experience to support the the goal of creating global professionals. The several components are administered by the Brigham Young University Flagship Center (The Nanjing University direct enrollment program) and the American Councils for International Education (internships and summer programs) on behalf of all domestic Chinese Flagship programs.

The Overseas Capstone Year curriculum is designed to provide an intensive, highly individualized and effective learning environment.
Students have multiple opportunities for overseas study through the Chinese Language Flagship Program. Students are highly encouraged to study overseas during the summers and are required to spend an academic year overseas as a part of their Flagship Overseas Capstone Program (OCP) experience.
BYU Chinese Flagship administers and coordinates with American Councils, other Chinese Flagship programs, and additional test vendors to conduct various assessments throughout the Flagship experience.
Our purpose is to provide you with opportunities not only benchmarking your progress along the way but also giving you nationally and internationally recognized measures that you can add to your portfolio. The scores that you get for the tests given by BYU Chinese Flagship are usually required to apply for scholarships, jobs, overseas study, and other purposes.
